Malay Dance covers Zapin, Joget, Inang and other forms. SYF Arts Presentation cycle. Costumes provided; you buy practice sarong, scarf, dance shoes, hair pins, and basic make-up for performances.

What Malay Dance CCA is like in school

Malay Dance covers traditional forms — Zapin, Joget, Inang and more — competing in SYF Arts Presentation. Costumes are issued; practice kit is on the parent.

Activity rhythm

  • 2-3 sessions per week, 2 hours each — held in the dance studio or hall.
  • Heavy SYF Arts Presentation prep in March-April.
  • Performances at school events and external community shows.

  • Performance costumes (issued for shows).
  • Rehearsal space, mirrors, sound system.
  • Choreographer + instructor.

  • Practice sarong / kain.
