What Floorball CCA is like in school
Floorball is widely offered as a CCA from primary to JC, competing in the NSG (modified small-sided format for Junior Division). Indoor hockey-style game played in the hall with plastic stick and ball.
Training rhythm
- 2-3 sessions per week, 2 hours each — usually after school in the school hall or field.
- Competes in the National School Games (NSG) — Jan to Sep season, with C / B / A Division play.
- Peak intensity during NSG season; off-season is technical / conditioning work for floorball.
The school provides
- Game jerseys.
- Loan sticks for new players (first 6 months).
- Balls and court access.
What parents buy
- Indoor non-marking court shoes (Salming, ASICS, or generic indoor).
- Personal stick (Sec 2+ — Unihoc, Salming, Exel).
- Training jersey + shorts.
- Light shin guards (optional but useful).
Watch-outs
- Stick length matters — measured from ground to navel for an upright player. Sized at the shop.
- Goalkeepers wear distinct kit (knee pads + chest protector) — supplied by the team if your child is selected as keeper.
