Students who are Singapore citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge. Students will take the Pledge with the right fist placed over the heart. Punctuality Students who arrive after the flag-raising ceremony are regarded as late. Those who are frequently late will be subjected to the schoolâs disciplinary measures. Attire Students are to wear the prescribed school uniform and modification to the uniform is not allowed. On days when students have PE or PAL lessons, they may come to school in their PE attire. Students should avoid wearing wallet chains, hooks, or accessories that detract from the neat appearance of the uniform. Name tags must be sewn above the shirt pocket for the school uniform and on the left side of the PE T-shirt. Shirts, blouses, and T-shirts should be tucked in neatly at all times. Girls can only wear one plain ear stud on each ear lobe. No student is allowed to pierce other parts of their body (e.g., nose, tongue, face). Handphones and Smart Devices The use of smartphones, smartwatches, and other electronic devices is strictly prohibited during school hours, including curriculum time, recess, and after-school programmes. Students who need to bring these devices to school must switch them off and store them securely in their bags throughout the day. Failure to comply may result in the device being confiscated. These devices may only be used outside the school or at the foyer to contact parents for pick-up. The school will not be responsible for any loss or damage to these items. Other Prohibited Items Students are not allowed to bring any weapon-like items or objects intended to cause harm to others. Vapes and e-cigarettes are strictly prohibited. Any violation may result in the school reporting the matter to the relevant legal authorities if necessary. Request For Early Dismissal Parents who wish to take their child home early for any valid reason must inform the teachers and record the early dismissal in the Early Dismissal Book at the General Office. Students are strictly not permitted to use the General Office phone to contact their parents, except in cases of emergency. Parents are expected to arrange pick-up times with their child in advance. Photography and Videography Photographs and videos of students and parents/guardians at Anderson Primary School may be taken during school activities and events, including lessons, CCAs, camps, and award ceremonies.
